Who we are
The Day Company LLC ("we"), 100 N Howard St Ste R, Spokane, WA 99201, runs Day One Solar Kits. Contact: support@thedaycompany.us.
What we collect and where it comes from
- Free cheat sheet form: first name, email, role (setter/closer/manager/other), the consent you gave and when, your approximate country, and ad-campaign tags (UTM) in the page link. We may also receive the same details from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) lead forms if you sign up through an ad.
- Company Install application: company, your name, work email, role, team size, states you sell in, how you train reps today, your biggest objection, your preferred start time, and the consent you gave and when. We use it to review your application, reply, and (if you buy) deliver the service.
- Purchases (through Stripe checkout): name, email, billing address, business name for team plans, what you bought, payment status and subscription status, and your agreement to our terms. Stripe processes your card; we never see or store the full number.
- Team plans: the rep emails a manager gives us for seats.
- Meta Pixel: unless you opt out or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, a Meta script on our pages sets cookies and sends Meta page views, sign-up events and purchase events (including order value), along with your browser and device information and IP address. We don't send Meta your name or email from this site.
- Hosting logs (Cloudflare): IP address, browser type, pages requested and times, used to deliver and protect the site.
- Logging in to My Kits: the email you enter, which we look up in our Stripe records to find your purchases; a one-time login link (stored only as a scrambled code for 15 minutes); and short-lived counters keyed to a scrambled version of your IP address and email to limit repeated requests (kept about 1 hour). Once enabled, we send login links by email through HighLevel; login emails are transactional, not marketing.
- Emails you send us and support history.
We don't collect phone numbers, Social Security numbers, precise location, or health information.
Why we use it
- To send what you asked for and deliver what you bought, including access, receipts and renewal notices.
- To send our marketing emails if you agreed (unsubscribe anytime with one click).
- To provide support, handle refunds and prevent fraud.
- To measure which ads and posts work and, unless you opt out, to show our ads to people who visited our site.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
- Stripe (payments, billing, receipts, billing portal).
- Cloudflare (website hosting, security and data storage).
- HighLevel (customer records and email), and Resend if we use it for account emails.
- Meta Platforms (ad measurement and targeting through the Meta Pixel and lead forms).
- Professional advisors and authorities when required by law or to protect our rights, and a buyer of our business if it's ever sold.
We don't sell your personal information for money. Our use of the Meta Pixel for targeted advertising may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some state laws. You can opt out on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out.
Cookies
We don't set our own tracking cookies. We set two necessary cookies: after you sign up for the free cheat sheet, dosk_free (7 days) lets your browser open the download page and files and holds no personal information; when you log in to My Kits, dosk_s (30 days, signed, HttpOnly) keeps you logged in and contains your email address and an expiry time. Log out to delete it. The Meta Pixel sets Meta cookies unless you opt out. We use your browser's local storage only to remember your privacy choice, whether you've dismissed the notice, and to avoid counting the same purchase twice.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and the other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we have about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale or sharing. You also have the right not to be treated differently for using these rights. To use them, email support@thedaycompany.us with the subject "Privacy request." We'll verify the request by confirming your email address and respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may make a request with your signed permission. If we decline, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject "Privacy appeal"; we'll respond within 45 days, and if you're still not satisfied you can contact your state attorney general.
Anyone can unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime using the link in each email or by emailing us.
How long we keep it
- Free-guide subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete, then we keep only a suppression record so we don't email you again.
- Purchase and subscription records, including proof of your consent to automatic renewal: at least 3 years, or 1 year after your subscription ends, whichever is longer, and for as long as tax law requires (generally 7 years).
- Login links: 15 minutes, or until used. Login rate-limit counters: about 1 hour. Login cookie: 30 days on your device, or until you log out.
- Site logs: a short period set by Cloudflare.
Children
Day One Solar Kits is for adults working in solar sales; you must be 18 or older to use it (see our Terms). We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think someone under 18 gave us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and payment processing by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll notify you as the law requires.
Changes
We'll post any changes here with a new effective date and email you about material changes.
