The federal Residential Clean Energy Credit (Internal Revenue Code §25D) isn't allowed for expenditures made after December 31, 2025, and the IRS treats a solar expenditure as made when installation is completed (IRS Fact Sheet FS-2025-05, Aug. 21, 2025). Leases and PPAs follow different rules that apply to the system owner. Tax law changes; check IRS.gov or a tax professional before you state anything about taxes.
